Russell Kamalski
Consumer Strategies, Inc. was established in 2002 by Russell Kamalski. With more than 28 years of advertising, marketing, and licensing experience working with leading brands and personally overseeing more than two billion dollars in retail sales, Kamalski brings a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of business development.
In addition to the activities at Consumer Strategies, Kamalski is currently the CEO of Canfield Training Group, a motivational self-help company founded by best-selling author, speaker, and trainer, Jack Canfield. Kamalski is also the founder and CEO of Pet Wellness Direct, a growing pet supplement company that develops veterinarian-strength pet products and sells them directly to consumers.
He was the Chief Operating Officer of Chicken Soup for the Soul from 2000-2008, building the inspirational brand into a household name and selling more than 500 million books, hundreds of licensed products, and hatching an internet presence that collectively generated more than one billion dollars insales. Kamalski served on the Board of Directors of Chicken Soup for the Soul for more than eight years and led the efforts to sell the company to a private investment group. Prior to that, he was the President of the Kathy Smith Fitness empire, where he built the business into a global leader in health and fitness, generating more than $500 million in sales.
Kamalski was a senior executive in the entertainment industry, including Executive Vice President at Time Warner and developed video businesses with Sony Entertainment and Warner Home Video. Kamalski was also an Account Executive at Ogilvy & Mather Advertising, and Director of Marketing at Mattel Toys. Kamalski is a graduate of the USC Marshall School of Business and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Consumer Strategies, Inc., Pet Wellness Direct, and Canfield Training Group, Inc. He also serves on the Board of Advisors for Jessica Cosmetics and Eva Cwynar, MD.
